Tito Ortiz was born in Huntington Beach, California on 23 January 1975. His birth name was Jacob Christopher Ortiz. He was a resident of Huntington Beach before he moved to Santa Ana. Ortiz, who is half Mexican descendant from his paternal family is half Mexican. His father was Sam Ortiz he gave him his nickname Tito. He was a troubled child due to the fact that both parents were addicted to heroin. He was involved in groups. He also used cocaine and other drugs. In his youth, he was sent to detention for juveniles. He was 13 when the divorce of his parents took place. He went to Huntington Beach High School, where he was a wrestler. When he turned 18 years old, his mother was able to kick him out. Paul Herrera encouraged Ortiz to keep wrestling and to attend college. He was later married for five years to Kristin his first wife.
