Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford) is an American-British guitarist, singer and songwriter. Ford began a metal solo career after the group broke up in 1979. After studying voice, Ford released her solo debut album "Out for Blood" and followed it up with "Dancin' at the Edge". Ford could not do any success with either album and she left the music scene for a decade. The smash hit album Lita, released in 1989, was the trigger for her return. The lead song "Kiss me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hits. However, the success of her music was not long-lasting after which she was absent from the industry for several years. The album release "Black" to the public in 1995 followed the album 'Wicked Wonderland, almost 15 year following. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
